I have lost my passport and need it in 7 days time.

No appointments available till next Tuesday so wouldn't get it back in time.
Does anyone have any ideas as we are due to travel to France for a holiday a week on Monday.
I expect to get slaughtered on here but there also maybe some sound advice that could help me out.

You can get a permit to travel , but I think that is only if you are overseas

We are back to Kempervennen this year after going to Het Heiderboos last year, the skiing is good at Kempervennen but the Rapids at Heiderboos are something else.
It's a great way to spend 5 days, no cars just cycling and safe for the kids to go off on their own.

The only time I didn't show my passport for the whole trip was on Eurostar.
Make sure you go from Waterloo, though, as they're red hot on checking at St Pancras...

stoneman...which Centerparcs are you heading to?
Took the family to de Kempervennen in Feb half term....absolutely loved it. All the usual stuff plus skiing and snowboarding. Staff are friendly and speak perfect English.
Did de Vossmeren just over the border in Belgium last year...we`ve started doing it as the kids Xmas present rather than just buying them crap.
And with the pound so strong at the moment its more like a third of UK price.

Centerparcs in Holland are far superior than the British ones plus not many Brits there.

I looked at that but they tend to be issued for people stuck abroad or have an emergency and I don't think 5 days at Centerparcs is an emergency!
Centreparcs?
I would have used the lost passport as a reason not to have gone.

Well that was easy!
Got to Victoria train station at 2.30
Had my appointment at the passport office at 3.00
Back to Victoria train station at 3.25
Home by 4.45
And all for £103.

Get yourself down the nearest Passport office and do it in person.

My mrs and I had to make other and plans a good few tears ago after arriving at customs at gatwick with two young sons and a four month old daughter with no passport on our way for a much needed paid holiday, we both forgot.
We had loads of work going on in the house and after almost killing eachother with blame
We ended up going to straight to Cornwall.getting lucky with the weather and accommodation and loved it.
Travelling abroad is a waste of time with an army of young kids and an unorganised adult unit.
